On November 2, 2024, at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Japan Association for Simulation-based Education in Healthcare Professionals, Dr. Machiko Yagi was honored with the Best Presentation Award. Her presentation, titled “The Relationship Between Self-Regulated Learning Tendencies and the Use of Self-Learning Simulation Materials,” demonstrated that “the more iPax is used, the higher the accuracy rate.”
This groundbreaking study represents the first report to scientifically validate the effectiveness of iPax in simulation-based medical education. The research demonstrated a positive correlation between the frequency of iPax use and accuracy rates. Historically, it has been said that “practice improves skills” or “mastering auscultation requires 1,000 attempts.” This study scientifically proved these concepts using iPax, marking a significant advancement.
The virtual auscultation simulator iPax features outstanding usability for intuitive operation and offers an enriched experience through realistic auscultation simulations. With continuous improvements, iPax is now available on various platforms, including PPT, QR codes, and smartphones. By striving to provide an efficient and enjoyable learning environment for both educators and learners, iPax is committed to ongoing enhancement.
